Back on solid ground

And what more solid ground than a traditional bar on the South Side of Glasgow? (Queens Park, since you ask).

I've been on solid ground since disembarking from the lovely 'Gallivanter' on Monday and leaving Eamonn and Catherine (and Luna) in Mallaig and taking a rainy 3 hour coach ride down by Loch Lomond and into the Western City of the lowlands. I've always liked Glasgow, and more and more of the family are getting connections with the place. I've just spent an entertaining and happy couple of hours catching up with my niece here. She loves the South Side, and you can see why. It's not quite Hackney on the Clyde, but you can get a damn good coffee here, and I just walked past a place that was a Korean restaurant/poetry venue (!)

And I have to admit, against my poor judgement, that it is easier to fight a cold in a warm apartment than on the western seas. But what a lovely trip it was! Here are more pics:

And through this afternoon I'm going to take a little turn around the town and find things that look like fun. Any recommendations would be very welcome.
